Anita Wright

Assistant Program Manager

Anita Wright has joined the staff of Saint Vincent Seminary as an Assistant Program Manager for the Institute for Ministry Formation (IMF). For more than a decade she has been spotted in and around Saint Vincent while she worked as a founding Host and assistant to the Content Manager at We Are One Body® radio, www.waob.org. “Miss Anita” is also a Permanent Catechist in the Diocese of Greensburg after being formed in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for all 4 Levels (ages 0-3, 3-6, 6-9, 9-12). She and her crew of catechists have begun their 10th year of CGS at a local parish, St John the Evangelist, and have grown from 6 original little ones to over 75 children this year. In her role at the IMF she will be able to continue to use her work experiences, her ongoing time with children and her God-given strengths to continue helping to form catechists and parents in their vocational ministry of guiding children in the faith.
Anita is originally from Bedford, PA where her family, including her precious niece/Goddaughter, still resides. She has degrees/diplomas from the Pennsylvania State University, the University of Maryland, and the Southwest Institute for Montessori Studies. She has been on adventures throughout Western Europe, Kazakstan and Russia, Thailand, Malaysia and Cambodia, Washington DC and the Bronx NY, Mexico and Argentina, and Poland and Ukraine. Anita gives thanks to God for her Catholic roots and to have been drawn deeper into relationship with Jesus as an adult. She feels it a great privilege to have been able to pray and spend time with the Missionaries of Charity and now the Monks and Seminarians at St Vincent Archabbey and Seminary.
