Celine Mitchell is a passionate and experienced adult educator trained in the Montessori and CGS method with over 20 years of experience of working with children, families and parish organizations. With over 10 years of experience as international CGS formation leader training laity and religious in the Montessori method of religious education, she is creative and energetic in guiding CGS catechists in innovative ways to establish atria and implement CGS in various parish and school settings. She is passionate about leading children and adults to a relationship with Jesus through the liturgical and kerygmatic methods of the Catholic Church.
Celine received her Master of Arts degree in Religious Education from Duquesne University in 2005 and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Community Ministry from Geneva College in 2002. She holds the status of a Master Catechist in the Diocese of Pittsburgh and retired from her position as Director of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd at St. Fidelis parish in Butler which she held since 2011. She has also served as a Primary Montessori Teacher & CGS Catechist at St. Ambrose Academy in Pittsburgh since 2018. Most importantly, in addition to her credentials, Celine brings decades of experience to her teaching. She has formed hundreds of catechists and catechized countless children around the world.
