On August 21, 1879 Our Lady appeared with St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist to the parish housekeeper, Mary McLoughlin. Over the course of this two hour apparition, a group of fifteen community members gathered to see the three figures as well as a young lamb and a cross on an altar surrounded by angels.
While there was no spoken message given in this apparition, the interpretation by the visionaries and theologians is a call to prayer and adoration.
Our Lady of Knock, pray for us.
